Women are the Most Powerful creatures on the Earth!
So...
Why are so many having SO MANY problems
finding a new job?
Anybody that understands women understands how powerful a woman can be. Powerful in the way they look, walk and interact. Powerful in the way they carry themselves. Powerful in the ways in which they communicate their ideas. So why do women struggle so much in their job search? Where is – THE DISCONNECT - between that power of a woman and the power of securing that perfect job?
- Women by nature are nurturers, so women tend to stay in their current jobs longer than men do- Even when the writing is on the wall or even when they are told layoffs are coming.
Men tend to see the inevitable coming and take proper steps.
- Women see the glass “half full.” So, when troubles begin brewing, we are prone to re-phrase those challenges with new and positive language. And because we do this, we often fail to see some of the transition opportunities readily available before us.
Men look at themselves first when it comes to their job search. They see the game changer, and with that knowledge comes to power to do something about it. And they do...JUST ASK THEM!!
- Women internalize everything. They wonder - What am I doing wrong in this job search that nobody is calling? What is wrong with ME?
A man knows there is nothing wrong with him. There can’t be! There must be something wrong with everybody else. In that knowledge comes a power of presentation…The confidence that employers are looking for!!
- Women are too busy taking care of everyone but themselves! We put themselves on
the backburner until there is a crisis. Then we kick it in high gear! But at this point we may wonder: is it too late?
Since men get more of their identify from their job, it is absolutely normal for them to automatically push their job search to the very top of their list.
Men and Women are different. Unfortunately, if you ask a woman if she looks at her job and her job search differently, she will adamantly say “No!” She’ll add, “I’m just as good as a man.”
BUT THIS IS NOT THE ISSUE… BEING GOOD ISN’T GOOD ENOUGH!!!
Not in Politics
